"Cause a little bit of summer is what the whole year is all about."
John Mayer

Summer is here, finally! It's time to relax and spend our days enjoying the beautiful weather. But, with that being said, it is also time to pay more attention to our skincare routine during the hot summer days, when we spend our time mostly outside. With that being said, I will be sharing with you 3 DIY skincare products that can all be done at home with ingredients that you may already have on hand, that are also super simple to do!
Pore Strips

You will need:
- 1 tbsp Unflavored gelatin (make sure it is clear and unflavored, as colored gelatin may stain your skin)
- 1 1/2 tbsp Milk (it can be any kind of milk)
Step 1: Mix the two ingredients together in a microwave-safe bowl
Step 2: Heat the mixture for 10 seconds in the microwave
Step 3: Use your fingers to apply the mask to your face (concentrate the mix on your T-zone)
Step 4: Leave the mask for 30 minutes or until it dries completely (it will feel stiff when dried)
Step 5: Pull the mask off. As the gelatin comes off the skin, it will take the dirt, dead skin cells and clogs with it
Tea Face Mist

You will need:
- 1 Fine mist spray bottle
- 1 Cup of tea
If you are not quite sure what tea to choose, here are my two favorites!
- Chamomile tea: helps fade spots, eliminate acne scars and fight breakouts. It also has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
- Green tea: protects against sunburns and long-term UV damage.
Step 1: Make your tea as you usually would and wait till it cools down
Step 2: Pour the tea into your mist spray bottle
With that, you are done! You can keep it in the fridge so that it is more refreshing during the hot summer days. You can use it multiple times a day, but I suggest using it right before doing your makeup and after removing it. Once you mist it on your face, help your skin to absorb it by tapping your face gently with your fingers.
After-sun Face Mask

You will need:
- 1/2 Ripe avocado
- 1 tsp Honey
- 1/2 tsp Rosehip seed oil
- 2 drops Tea tree oil
Step 1: Combine all the ingredients. A blender will work best but you can also use a fork.
Step 2: Wash your face with a cleanser and pat it dry.
Step 3: Apply the mask to your face and neck and let it sit for 20 minutes.
Step 4: Wash off the mask and apply your favorite moisturizer.
